Q. Are Drumdrops drum tracks and loops copyright free?A. Yes, as long as you have proof of purchase. Q. Why does Drumdrops charge less than its competitors?A. We keep formats limited to keep our costs down and we use DVD-ROM. Q. Why do Drumdrops releases sound better than their competitors?A. We exclusively use old Neve or Api recording consoles for recording and mixing, vintage microphones and valve equalizers and most importantly good sounding live rooms and drummers! Q. Were the drums originally recorded on analogue tape?A. Yes, all Drumdrops beats are recorded using Ampex GP9 or 499 analogue tape. Q. Have Drumdrops performances been quantised by Beat Detective or similar?A. NO! All Drumdrops releases are 100% live and are undoctored. Q. But what about my programmed stuff?A. All Drumdrops drum tracks are tempo mapped to each quarter beat so your sequences, slaved applications and external MIDI sequencers follow the live drummer. This allows you to overdub/program midi parts easily, make use of quantize and other tempo/grid features. NOTE: If you are creating a new session with a DAW we don't support, simply import the MIDI file to the session of your master sequencer followed by the separate audio and HEY PRESTO! Your sequences follow the tempo fluctuations of the live drums! Click here to find out more about the tempo map feature. What if I like the groove but not the sound?Since the performances or loops are in Multi-track format, Pro Tools features such as Sound Replacer can be used to customize/overdub or replace sounds. What if I want a big, expanding Led Zep style drum sound?Turn up the room tracks and experiment with some compression. |
