Drumdrops in ProTools

All Drumdrops titles are multi format and work both on PC and Mac.

The multi-track titles feature separate Kick, Snare, Hat, Overheads, Toms and Mono Room tracks in professional 24 bit 44.1khz AIFF audio files. For ease of use tempo mapped ProTools, Logic and Cubase SE session files are provided as templates.

Organized by Bpm in convenient folders, each containing separate Audio files, a midi file of the tempo map and a folder with previews for easy auditioning.

The Tempo Map

This is a unique feature only available to Drumdrops releases. The beauty of live drums is the feel you get from the swing and the drummer pushing and pulling in-between the beat. This is where the character lies, the vibe and soul of the groove.

We at Drumdrops have by hand tempo mapped each drum performance to a 1/4 or an 1/8 of each beat. The sequencer follows accurately the tempo fluctuations of the drummer. This allows the user to play/program Midi data i.e notes, chords etc and make use of quantize as the sequencer is always locked with the live drums. This is very useful if you want to trigger drum machines like the Akai Mpc 60 ( just sync via MIDI clock) or run Software like Reason or Ableton Live alongside ProTools, Logic or Cubase.

Via the tempo map the sequencer knows exactly where each beat is, so creating loops or customising arrangements couldnt be easier. Simply select the regions you want and cut and paste away.(Note: copy the tempo amp/midi info with the audio regions you have selected so as to keep it all in sync)

If you use an Audio Sequencer we don't support, don't feel left out as all you need to do is simply import the MIDI file provided into your sequencer as well as the audio files.

  • Compatible with any software or hardware that supports 24 Bit .AIFF files
  • Tempo Mapped ProTools LE, Logic 6 and Cubase SE Session files
  • MIDI files with tempo map info for importing to other DAWs
  • Easy to use; all audio files start from the same point
  • Supplied with 16-Bit .AIFF previews for easy auditioning
